Data Retention Policy

Last updated: March 2026

ConductIQ is currently in development. Availability is scheduled for the 2026–2027 school year.

Active Subscriptions

While your school's subscription is active, all data — student records, incidents, intervention plans, notes, and progress logs — is retained and accessible within the platform. Deactivated students and closed interventions remain in the database for historical reference and are not automatically purged.

After a Student Leaves

When a student is deactivated in ConductIQ (e.g., transfers, graduates, or ages out), their records are preserved for the duration of the school's active subscription. Deactivated records are excluded from active views but remain exportable by administrators.

Schools are responsible for their own record retention obligations under applicable state law and district policy. ConductIQ does not automatically delete records to satisfy these obligations; administrators must request deletion if required.

Data Export

Administrators can export all student, incident, and intervention data at any time via the Exports page (Reporting → Exports). We strongly recommend exporting your data before ending your subscription.

After Subscription Ends

Upon termination of your subscription, your school's data is retained for 1 year and 90 days to allow for a final export. After this window, data is permanently deleted from our systems. We will notify the account administrator by email before deletion occurs.

Deletion Requests

To request deletion of specific records or your entire organization's data prior to the standard retention window, please use the contact form at https://app.conductiq.com/contact.

Backups

We maintain encrypted database backups for disaster recovery purposes. Backup data is retained for seven (7) days and then deleted on a rolling basis.
